LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY.
KMC Music, Inc. (the “Manufacturer”) warrants that this product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of delivery for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser (the “Buyer”), except that strings, electronic components, amplifying devices, normal fret wear, and any parts not made by Manufacturer shall be subject to their own individual warranties if applicable. Additionally, tone, because it is a subjective matter, is not warranted. Manufacturer shall perform its warranty obligations as set forth herein free of charge for labor and materials for the first two (2) years after the original retail purchase date. Thereafter, Manufacturer shall remain responsible for all materials used in the performance of this warranty and Buyer shall become responsible for all service and labor charges incurred in such performance by Manufacturer at Manufacturer’s standard rates in effect at that time.
This product is distributed through a network of authorized distributors and dealers and service centers identified by an “Authorized Dealer” decal or plaque. Your Authorized Dealer will act as the agent of Manufacturer and will be responsible for handling all claims under this warranty in accordance with Manufacturer’s directions. Purchase of this product from other than an Authorized Dealer may lead to difficulty or delay in obtaining warranty service.
Manufacturer’s obligation hereunder is limited to the repair of such product manufactured by it and claimed to be defective (through the use of standard materials and processes in effect at the time of repair) f.o.b. Manufacturer’s place of business provided that: (1) AT PURCHASE BUYER COMPLETES AND RETURNS THE ATTACHED WARRANTY CARD OR ENTERS WARRANTY INFORMATION BY REGISTERING ON-LINE AT THE MANUFACTURER’S WEB SITE AT WWW.KMCMUSIC.COM OR SUCH OTHER WEB SITE AS DESIGNATED BY MANUFACTURER AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS AFTER PURCHASE; (2) Buyer provides the Authorized Dealer with a copy of the original sales receipt; (3) Buyer (through the Authorized Dealer) either in writing or by telephone explains to a representative of Manufacturer’s Customer Service Department the nature of such defect, provides Manufacturer with a valid copy of the original sales receipt and obtains a return authorization from Manufacturer prior to returning the product or component; (4) Buyer returns the product or component through the Authorized Dealer, to Manufacturer at Buyer’s expense for shipping both to and from Manufacturer; (4) Manufacturer shall be satisfied that such defect is not the result of misuse, alteration, accident or neglect, and that the product has been repaired or serviced by persons other than Manufacturer; and (5) The model number and serial number on both the warranty card and the product have not been altered.
Any repair or service performed by any person or entity other than Manufacturer is not covered by this warranty. Transportation costs are not included in this warranty. This warranty shall be void if the product has been damaged by misuse, alternation, accident, or neglect, including exposure to extreme heat, cold, or high or low humidity; or, if the product has been repaired or serviced by persons not authorized by Manufacturer. THE FOREGOING CONSTITUTES THE ONLY WARRANTY MADE BY MANUFACTURER WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT AND IS MADE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Any implied warranties, including without limitation, any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, imposed under state law are limited to the duration of this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not be applicable to Buyer.
MANUFACTURER ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM FAILURE OF THIS PRODUCT NOR ANY LOSS OF INCOME, SATISFACTION OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE LOSS OF USE OF SAME DUE TO DEFECTS OR AVAILABILITY OF SAME DURING SERVICE. Unexpected loss by fire, theft, or damage of the Buyer’s product while in Manufacturer’s possession shall not be a liability of Manufacturer beyond replacement with a new product of the same or most similar available style. Excess value (collector’s value) insurance must be carried by Buyer at Buyer’s expense. The same is true with shipping insurance since many carriers place limits on their liability. Manufacturer assumes no liability in the event of loss or damage to Buyer’s product while it is in transit to or from Manufacturer and Buyer shall be responsible for all risk of loss. Any action for breach of this warranty must be commenced by Buyer within one (1) year after such cause of action arises.
This warranty applies only to products purchased and serviced within the United States of America and Canada. Warranties outside these countries are as defined by the Authorized Dealer for your country or region, and may vary from the above in terms and/or length.
